Margate Firefighter Helps Save Life in Second Ocean Rescue

Margate city, N.J.— September 26 — On Friday, firefighter Kyle Deroo of the Margate City Fire Department, who also serves as a Lieutenant with the Atlantic City Beach Patrol, was credited with his second lifesaving rescue of the 2025 season.
Deroo joined Atlantic City lifeguards in responding to a swimmer in distress. Their coordinated actions brought the individual safely to shore, where further care was provided.
Public safety officials commended the teamwork between the lifeguards and Deroo, noting that the incident highlights the importance of skilled responders in both fire service and water-rescue operations.
