Elwood, N.J.— September — On Saturday at 1:37 a.m. the Elwood Volunteer Fire Company – Station 160 responded to an activated carbon monoxide alarm at 1367 White Oak Circle. The call was logged as Incident #111 for 2025.
Firefighters checked the home with carbon monoxide and gas meters and found no hazardous readings. The alarm was traced to an outdated detector that had malfunctioned. Crews advised the homeowner to replace the unit.
No injuries or damage were reported, and the scene was cleared soon after the assessment.
