Cardiff, N.J. — September 25 — On Thursday, members of the Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company #1 conducted a hands-on vehicle extrication drill to sharpen their rescue skills. The exercise was coordinated by Lt. Will Danz and focused on critical techniques for removing victims from damaged vehicles in real-world emergencies.
Firefighters practiced stabilization and extrication using donated vehicles, which allowed them to simulate realistic scenarios without risking active service equipment. The vehicles were supplied by Matt Portnoy & Sons Auto Recycling, whose support made it possible to conduct practical, safe training.
