The crews were dispatched along with Neshanic Fire Company to a farm on Amwell Road for a reported hay pile fire. FM10D arrived shortly after dispatch and confirmed the working fire. The incident was upgraded to a district response, bringing all brush trucks and tankers to the scene.

Firefighters operated for about an hour with the assistance of heavy equipment to pull apart the burning material and ensure complete extinguishment. Due to the distance from the nearest hydrant, water supply was established through tanker operations.

Fire Companies 1, 2, and 3, along with Station 10, Neshanic Fire Company, and the New Jersey Forest Fire Service responded. RWJ EMS provided an ambulance on standby.

A total of 36 units operated on scene, including Deputy 36, Brush 36, Tanker 36, SS36, and Utility 10 with Ranger 36.
