Cherry Hill, N.J. — September 20 — On Saturday, all companies of the Cherry Hill Fire Department responded to a building fire at the Melitta Coffee facility. The alarm brought a full departmental response to the well-known commercial site, located near I-295.

Crews arrived to find active fire conditions in part of the roasting plant and quickly began coordinated suppression efforts. Command established incident priorities, including containment of the fire and protection of surrounding areas of the facility.

Authorities had not disclosed the cause of the fire, and no injuries had been reported. In addition to guaranteeing firefighter safety during the incident, the department's quick deployment and well-coordinated operations helped prevent additional damage.
