PACKER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Wednesday, Sept. 24) — Citizens’ Fire Company #1 of Weatherly was dispatched late Tuesday night to a dwelling fire on Packer Drive, officials said.
The call came in around 10:30 p.m. Twenty members responded with apparatus 2013, 2031, 2041, 2051 and 2071. Based on dispatch updates from Carbon 911, Weatherly officers requested a second alarm and additional tankers before arrival.
Mutual aid companies from Beaver Meadows, Lehigh and Lausanne, Carbon County Fire District 19, McAdoo, Freeland, Hazle Township, Summit Hill, Jim Thorpe, Hazleton, and Ryan Township, along with Harwood and Sugarloaf fire companies, assisted at the scene. Lehighton Ambulance Association and Hometown Volunteer Fire Company #1 also responded.
