Kenilworth, N.J.—September 21 —This week, the Kenilworth Fire Department and Rescue Squad conducted a series of training evolutions focusing on vehicle extrication, with EMS and fire crews working together to improve rescue and stabilization skills. The exercises comprised dummy victims trapped in two vehicles, allowing workers to rehearse synchronized evacuation tactics in a controlled environment.
In the exercises, fire crews focused on securing and stabilizing the vehicles, while EMS personnel attended to access points and ensured that the mock victims could be reached safely. The donated vehicles from Thomas Towing & Recovery allowed for realistic, hands-on practice without risk to in-service apparatus.
