EAST TAYLOR TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Thursday, Sept. 18) — East Taylor Township Volunteer Fire Company joined Conemaugh Independence Fire Company this week to help Conemaugh Valley schools with football field maintenance.

Officials said the recent stretch of dry weather left the field in need of attention, raising safety concerns for players. Crews used the work as both a service to the school and a training opportunity with their apparatus.

The effort supported the Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays as they prepare for the upcoming season.
