Adams Township firefighters tour Johnstown Flood Memorial for training

ADAMS TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Thursday, Sept. 18) — Adams Township Volunteer Fire Department #2 members visited the Johnstown Flood National Memorial this week for training that included a tour and preplan of the facilities.

The memorial spans 177 acres with seven buildings and draws more than 100,000 visitors annually. Officials said the facility also participates in the department’s Knox Box program.

Firefighters thanked the National Park Service and Officer Drees for their support and ongoing partnership.
