WEST SUNBURY, Pa. (Monday, Sept. 15) — West Sunbury Volunteer Fire Department members responded to six calls in a span of 28 hours, including brush fires, search details, and a vehicle rollover, officials said.
Two of the calls were in the department’s first-due area, while four were mutual aid responses to neighboring communities. One structure fire was canceled while crews were en route.
Among the calls was a search in North Washington. Firefighters reported the missing person was safely located and able to return home with family.
The department also reminded residents to use caution with outdoor burning during dry weather, noting how quickly small fires can spread.
