Three Alarm Fire Destroys Three Commercial Structures

Fall River, Ma. At approximately 10:05 pm. firefighters were dispatched to 26 Rodman Street for a still alarm. Arriving on scene firefighters had heavy fire showing from a commercial structure. With fire showing from the A and D sides Command called for a second alarm followed rapidly by a third alarm. Firefighters battled the flames for a number of hours before gaining control. Extensive mutual aide was needed to back fill the cities empty stations. Apparatus and personnel were on the scene for for several days extinguishing hot spots while waiting for the demolition of the main building. Three buildings were involved with fire with one being completely destroyed.
