September 22, 2025 — Members of the North Java Fire Company conducted Task Oriented Air Consumption (TOAC) training Monday evening at the fire training center.
TOAC training is designed to prepare firefighters for the physical and mental demands of real emergencies by testing air management under stress. Firefighters performed strenuous tasks in full turnout gear while wearing Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), learning to conserve air and control breathing in high-pressure conditions.
EMS members also participated in the drill, monitoring firefighters’ vital signs before and after the exercises to ensure safety and evaluate the impact of the training.
Officials said the session provided valuable experience, strengthening both operational readiness and firefighter safety.
