Greenwich, N.J. — August 17 — On Sunday, Greenwich Township Fire & Rescue, Inc. supplied mutual assistance support by assigning Engine 14, which was staffed with three firefighters, to cover the Alloway Fire Department. Alloway personnel were dispatched to a second alarm fire, necessitating the use of other companies to provide area coverage.
While Alloway worked at the fire scene, Engine 14 remained on standby to react to any new calls in the township, ensuring that emergency services were not disrupted. This type of coverage is prevalent during multi-alarm occurrences, when one department's resources are fully utilized.
