UPPER MAKEFIELD, Pa. (Saturday, Sept. 20) — Families gathered Saturday for Upper Makefield’s Community Day, where the volunteer fire company displayed trucks and equipment alongside other public safety agencies.

Children climbed aboard fire apparatus and explored gear while firefighters answered questions from residents. Police, EMS and public works also joined the event, giving neighbors a chance to meet the teams that serve the township.

The fire company thanked community members for stopping by and invited residents to its upcoming Fire Prevention Open House, scheduled for Friday, Oct. 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. The event will highlight the 2025 NFPA fire safety message, “Charge into Fire Safety.”
