BEDMINSTER TWP., Pa. (Wednesday, Sept. 3) — Firefighters contained a blaze Wednesday afternoon at 611 Metals in Bedminster Township, where a pile of metals and tires caught fire, officials said.

The fire was reported at 12:21 p.m. and required a tanker task force because of limited water supply in the area. Engines and tankers from Bucks, Montgomery and Hunterdon counties responded.

One firefighter was evaluated by EMS for a minor injury but returned to duty shortly after.

The Bucks County Hazardous Materials Team and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection monitored the site and found no air or water hazards. Crews brought the fire under control, and the scene was cleared around 3:30 p.m.
