Over the past several weeks, a complete abatement of all hazardous materials at the site was safely carried out. Follow-up testing confirmed negative results, ensuring the area is clear of any remaining hazardous substances.

As part of the next phase, temporary fencing has been installed around the site for public safety. The fencing will remain in place throughout the demolition of the existing station, site work, and the eventual construction of the new firehouse.
