PALISADES, Pa. (Sunday, Sept. 7) — Palisades Regional Fire Rescue recognized several members Sunday for completing state certification and training programs.

Firefighter Scott Mullen earned his Firefighter 1 certification after 206 hours of training in firefighting, hazardous materials and basic first aid. Members Anna Oschmann, Colleen Speth and Toby Clark completed the 16-hour Engine Company Operations course, which covered fire behavior, apparatus positioning, hose line use, search and rescue and water supply.

Officials said the training reflects the department’s focus on preparedness and safety.
