Eagle Fire members complete swiftwater rescue training

NEW HOPE, Pa. (Sunday, Sept. 21) — Four members of the New Hope Eagle Volunteer Fire Company completed Swiftwater Rescue – Operations Level training over the weekend, officials said.

With the Delaware River running through the community and recent flooding highlighting the risks, the department said the training is part of continued investment in its Marine Program to ensure readiness for water emergencies.

The members recognized for completing the course were H. Borbige, M. Kritz, J. Spencer and J. Macdonald.
