Driver extricated after crash on Route 1 in Morrisville

MORRISVILLE, Pa. (Tuesday, Sept. 23) — Firefighters freed a driver trapped in a car Tuesday afternoon after a collision with a tractor-trailer on the southbound lanes of Route 1, officials said.
Rescue 98 arrived shortly after the 1:14 p.m. dispatch to find one driver pinned. Crews from Falls Township Fire Company and Fairless Hills Fire Department joined in stabilizing the vehicle and extricating the patient.
Both drivers were transported by EMS to nearby hospitals.
