Brush fire reported near train tracks in Solebury Township

SOLEBURY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Monday, Sept. 1) — Firefighters from Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded Monday afternoon to a brush fire located off the road along the train tracks in Solebury Township.
Crews were dispatched around 2:45 p.m. with apparatus from both the main station and substation, including Engine 5, Field 5, Tanker 5, Engine 15-1 and Field 15. Fire police monitored the roadway while crews worked the scene.
The fire was brought under control within an hour, and units cleared without further incident. Firefighters noted a New Hope Ivyland train passed through as they operated.
