Hilltown crews assist at large rubbish fire in Pipersville

PIPERSVILLE, Pa. (Wednesday, Sept. 3) — Hilltown Township Volunteer Fire Company assisted Plumsteadville firefighters Wednesday afternoon at a large rubbish fire at 611 Metals in Pipersville.
Engine 61 was dispatched at 12:48 p.m. for a tanker fill assignment, drafting water from a local pond to supply tankers at the scene. Later, Tanker 61 was sent directly to the fire to provide additional water support.
