Vehicle Slips Away During Tow Prep, Colliding with Dale Drive Residence

Green Tree, PA - Emergency responders were dispatched Wednesday afternoon after an unattended vehicle slipped out of gear while being prepared for towing and rolled into a nearby residential structure on Dale Drive.

Just prior to 4:00 p.m. on September 16, Green Tree Volunteer Fire Company’s 163 Rescue was alerted to a vehicle-into-structure collision along the residential street. Arriving first responders assessed the situation and discovered that a single passenger car, which was in the process of being rigged for a tow truck, had inadvertently rolled down the grade and made contact with the exterior of a home.

Fire crews conducted a rapid visual and structural assessment of the residence, confirming that the impact had caused no major structural compromise to the dwelling's integrity. Responders stabilized and secured the vehicle to prevent further unintended movement, cleared minor debris, and verified that no occupants or bystanders were injured before turning the scene over and clearing back into service.
