Gas line struck at shopping center in Plumsteadville

PLUMSTEADVILLE, Pa. (Monday, Sept. 15) — Firefighters responded Monday afternoon to the Giant Shopping Center on Easton Road after a gas line was struck, officials said.

Doylestown Fire Company’s Tower 79 and Rescue 19 assisted Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company on the call. Additional companies on scene included Dublin and Point Pleasant fire companies.

Crews awaited PECO Gas to mitigate the leak. Authorities advised drivers to avoid the area during the response.
