BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Sunday, Sept. 21) — Firefighters responded Sunday morning to a blaze in the 4100 block of Miladies Lane that was contained to the exterior of a home, officials said.

The call was dispatched at 10:41 a.m. as a tactical box assignment. Doylestown Fire Company was assisted by Midway Volunteer Fire Company.

The homeowner kept the fire from spreading inside. Officials reminded residents never to discard fireplace or fire pit ash in trash receptacles, noting embers can retain heat for several days.
