Firefighters battle brush fire in Maidencreek Township

MAIDENCREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Monday, Sept. 1) — Crews from multiple departments responded Monday night to a brush fire in Maidencreek Township, where firefighters remained on scene for hours.

The Community Fire Company of Virginville said members had already been operating for about two hours and expected to stay for an extended period. Blandon Fire Department, Walnuttown Fire and Rescue, and Fleetwood Fire Company also assisted.

Virginville responded with Engine Tanker 33, Brush 33 and Rescue 33. Quint 33 and its crew stayed at the station to cover any additional calls.
