CUMRU TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Sunday, Sept. 7) — Township of Spring Fire Rescue Services responded to a crash on Route 222 southbound at the Mohnton exit, where a vehicle struck a guardrail, officials said.

Rescue 85 was dispatched to assist Cumru Township Fire Department and arrived to find one occupant apparently injured. Firefighters provided emergency care until EMS arrived and assisted with fluid control.

Rescue Engine 42 later used Township of Spring’s hydraulic tools to access the engine compartment and secure the vehicle. Crews also assisted a second patient before being released.
