SPRING TWP., Pa. (Friday, Sept. 19) — Township of Spring Fire Rescue Services joined emergency personnel across eastern Pennsylvania on Friday in honoring three fallen Northern York County Regional police officers.

Before dawn, TSFRS crews positioned on the West Wyomissing overpass of Route 222 northbound as a motorcade escorted the officers’ remains to Allentown for evaluation by the Lehigh County coroner’s office. The procession included police motorcycles, marked vehicles and three EMS units bearing the deceased.

Rescue Engine 85 and Utility 85 were joined by Western Berks EMS, while Wyomissing Fire Department crews gathered on the adjacent Jefferson Avenue overpass. Spring Township police provided traffic control along the highway.

Later in the afternoon, TSFRS personnel again joined local responders to honor the return procession as the officers were brought home.
