ROCHESTER, NY - On Wednesday, September 24, at 5:03 p.m., Rochester firefighters responded to 97 Kansas Street for the report of smoke coming from the upstairs apartment with alarms going off. Units arrived on location with a fire on the second floor of the 2 1/2 story two-family house.. The blaze was brought under control in about 20 minutes. There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
