Plainville Fire Assists With Vehicle Recovery From Fuller Pond

On September 3, 2026, the Plainville Fire and Police units were dispatched to Fuller Street in Plainville, Massachusetts, following a vehicle that veered off the road and into Fuller Pond.
The Metacomet Regional Dispatch Center sent the Plainville Fire Department and Plainville Police to the scene of the reported motor vehicle crash. When firefighters and police arrived, they found a car in the pond. The only person inside was able to exit the vehicle on their own and was assessed by EMS.
The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency were informed, as the vehicle had entered the water. Officials concluded that Fuller Pond showed no signs of contamination. The reason for the crash was not disclosed in the public reports right away.
