Technical Rescue Team Stabilizes Wellesley Home After Crash

Shortly after noon on September 17, 2026, emergency responders arrived at a motor vehicle collision on Weston Road in Wellesley, Massachusetts, following a car impact with a residence. The incident was reported around 12:07 p.m. as reported by The Swellesley Report, according to Wellesley police information. 

The Wellesley Fire Department was the first fire department to arrive. The firefighters determined that the vehicle had collided with the building, causing extensive structural damage, notably a large hole near the foundation. The driver sustained minor injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital. At the time of the crash, no one was inside the house

Due to concerns over the building's stability, the Norfolk County Technical Rescue Team was called in. The technical rescue team helped firefighters stabilize the structure and lower the risk of additional collapse prior to safely removing the vehicle. According to Boston 25 News, the team took steps to stop the damaged home from collapsing. 

According to The Swellesley Report, units from Canton and Franklin also offered mutual aid, though the available reports do not detail their specific roles at the scene.
