MVA Sent Orange Fire and EMS Crews to Hayden Street

Orange, MA — September 20 — The Orange Fire Rescue EMS Department arrived at around 12:26 p.m.on Sunday at Hayden Street to handle a motor vehicle crash that involved a utility pole. The incident took place between Harrison Avenue and Burrill Avenue.

Engine 2 and Ambulance 1 were dispatched with the current on-duty team and additional on-call staff. Firefighters provided medical assistance and helped secure the damaged vehicle after the crash.

One individual was taken to Athol Hospital for further assessment.

Once the patient was safely removed from the scene, Engine 2 stayed on Hayden Street while the crews waited for National Grid to stabilize the damaged utility pole.

Dales Towing was also called in to remove the vehicle. Firefighters stayed at the scene to support both the utility and towing operations and to ensure a safe working environment.

Hayden Street is a local road in Orange, with Harrison Avenue and Burrill Avenue being nearby residential streets.
