EARL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Wednesday, Sept. 17) — Three members of the Earl Township Volunteer Fire Company joined crews from Oley, Exeter Township and Fleetwood this week for a specialized grain bin rescue course.
The training, hosted by Oley Fire Company, covered rescue practices, agricultural building construction and use of specialized equipment. Fire officials described grain bin rescues as low-frequency but high-risk calls where coordination with mutual aid partners is critical for victim survival.
The program was supported by Rescue Techs, Oley Fire Company and Wagner Family Farms/Lime Mist Holsteins, which provided facilities for the training.
