Glen Gardner, N.J. Sep 2: Throughout the month of August, Glen Gardner Fire Company No. 1 responded to ten incidents while continuing to prioritize community involvement and training.

Members of the company had the chance to hone their skills in mutual-aid coordination and rural water movement by taking part in a water supply drill organized by the Stewartsville Fire Company. The department also successfully conducted a road drive as part of its ongoing efforts to stay visible in the neighborhood and attract new members.

August incidents included one outdoor fire, three alarm activations, three motor vehicle accidents, a landing zone assignment, one smoke investigation, and one public assist. These calls reflect the variety of emergencies faced by volunteer fire companies in the region, requiring members to be prepared for both fire suppression and general emergency support.

Company records also noted strong participation from leadership and members. Chief Bryan Stevens led response activity, followed by Captain Joseph Starcher and a dedicated group of firefighters and EMTs.
