The Westville Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on Interstate 295

Westville, N.J. — September 1 — The Westville Fire Department, along with mutual aid companies, responded to a vehicle fire on Interstate 295 southbound near the 25-mile marker Monday morning.
Shortly after 7:30 a.m., crews were sent in response to reports of a car heavily involved in flames. While Engine 733 set up a water supply to aid in suppression efforts, Squad 3 swiftly arrived and stretched a bumper line to put out the fire. On the scene, Battalion 3 and Chief 701 coordinated operations.
The fire was brought under control without incident, and no injuries were reported.
