ECONOMY, Pa. (Saturday, Sept. 13) — The Economy Volunteer Fire Department recognized four members Saturday for completing Fire Essentials Training through the Beaver County Firefighters Association.

Jessica Kahler, Ariana Sanchez, Jordin Pritchard and Mason Obenreder received their department shields, marking the achievement. Two of the members have already passed Firefighter 1 certification, while the other two are in the process of testing.

Fire officials said the shields symbolize the protection and support the members provide to the community and praised their dedication to the department.
