BRIGHTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Monday, Sept. 15) — Brighton Township Volunteer Fire Department members gathered Monday evening for a hands-on training session focused on hose loads and deployment techniques.

Firefighters reviewed the different types of hose loads used by the department, practiced deployment methods and repacked hose lines after use. Officials said the training is especially important for incidents in commercial or high-occupancy buildings, where longer stretches are often needed to reach all parts of a structure.

Sessions like this help firefighters improve speed and efficiency while reinforcing teamwork and communication, according to the department.
