DAUGHERTY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Thursday, Sept. 4) — Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Department assisted Daugherty Township firefighters Thursday at their second working fire in just over a day, officials said.
New Brighton Fire Department command called a second alarm and strike team after arriving on scene. Bridgewater’s Engine 28 responded with five volunteers, who worked for more than three hours to help bring the blaze under control.
The fire came as Bridgewater members were also preparing for the town’s upcoming Open and Bags and Blessings community events.
