Bedroom fire damages Beaver Falls home

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. (Thursday, Sept. 11) — Firefighters from Beaver Falls and several neighboring departments contained a blaze to a bedroom in a two-story home Thursday after smoke was reported coming from the second floor.
Crews arrived just before noon and stretched two hose lines to hold the flames to the room of origin. The fire left heat and smoke damage on the second floor and water damage below.
All occupants evacuated before firefighters arrived. One person was evaluated by EMS at the scene and released. Two pets were removed safely from the first floor.
Departments assisting included New Brighton, Rochester, Big Beaver Borough, Patterson Township, Patterson Heights and Chippewa Township fire companies.
