WEST KITTANNING, Pa. (Thursday, Sept. 18) — West Kittanning Fire Department crews provided station coverage in Pine Township on Wednesday before returning home for a rescue drill.
Station 240 sent a brush truck and engine with five members to Templeton Station 190 for standby while that department and others in Armstrong County responded to a call.
Later in the day, firefighters trained at P.J. Greco’s, practicing with rescue tools on donated vehicles. Officials said the exercise introduced some members to new techniques while serving as a refresher for others.
