Freeport firefighters assist in three structure fire calls

FREEPORT, Pa. (Tuesday, Sept. 9) — Freeport Fire-EMS responded to three fire calls over the past several days, assisting neighboring departments with both residential and commercial incidents.
On Saturday afternoon, crews were alerted to an auto fire alarm at a commercial property that was upgraded to smoke in the structure. Firefighters assisted Sarver Station 36, where a small fire had already been extinguished by personnel on scene. Wagon 70 responded with six interior firefighters.
Two days later, Freeport crews joined Lower Burrell Station 69 for suppression and overhaul at a single-family home. Wagon 70 responded with six interior personnel.
On Tuesday morning, firefighters assisted Kittanning Station 110 with suppression and overhaul at a mixed-use commercial building. Wagon 70 responded with four interior personnel.
