Laurence Harbor firefighters respond to brush fire and evening crash

Laurence Harbor, N.J — August 26—On the evening of August 26, the Laurence Harbor Fire Department (LHFD) responded to two different incidents requiring coordination and site safety measures.
At 6:00 p.m. LHFD responded to a brush fire on the oceanfront. Cliffwood Fire Department gave assistance. The two crews worked together to rapidly get the fire under control. The fire did not spread to any surrounding structures, and no injuries were reported.
Later that night, around 9:00 p.m., LHFD was dispatched to assist the Old Bridge Police Department (OBPD) at a car crash. Firefighters ensured scene safety by clearing debris, removing hazards, and supporting traffic control to prevent further incidents.
