MCKEES ROCKS, Pa. (Tuesday, Sept. 2) — Seville Volunteer Fire Company crews handled two fire calls Tuesday, including a gas-fed blaze in a residence and a tree fire near a hotel.
Just before noon, Engine 251 was dispatched to McKees Rocks for a fire behind an oven and in a wall of a home. Firefighters quickly knocked down the flames with no extension to the rest of the residence.
Around 2 p.m., Engine 251 responded to McKnight Road, where a tree had caught fire against a hotel. The engine arrived first due alongside West View Volunteer Fire Department’s Truck 297. Crews soaked the burning area outside while the truck company checked inside the hotel, finding no extension.
