Deck fire damages pool at Pleasant Hills home

PLEASANT HILLS, Pa. (Saturday, Sept. 6) — Firefighters responded before dawn Saturday after a caller reported a deck fire on Millet Lane, officials said.
Crews arrived just before 5 a.m. to find the deck burning but not endangering the house. Pleasant Hills units, joined by Station 180, stretched lines to the rear and brought the fire under control.
The flames were confined to the deck, though an in-ground pool was damaged. No injuries were reported. The cause remains under investigation.
