Fire damages home in South Park Township

SOUTH PARK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Friday, Sept. 12) — Firefighters responded Friday evening to a residential blaze in South Park Township after multiple 911 calls reported flames, officials said.
Pleasant Hills Volunteer Fire Company was alerted at 6:49 p.m. as part of the first alarm assignment. Police on scene confirmed a working fire with exposure concerns.
Crews protected the nearby exposure and launched an interior attack to knock down the flames. Pleasant Hills firefighters assisted with suppression and overhaul for just over two hours before returning to service.
