House fire contained quickly in Penn Hills; no injuries reported

PENN HILLS, Pa. (Tuesday, Sept. 2) — Multiple fire companies responded early Tuesday to a house fire near Darlan Hill and Koomatuck Drive, where smoke and flames were reported from the rear of the structure.
Penn Hills police confirmed all occupants had evacuated safely before crews arrived. Engine 233 secured a water supply for Engine 236 as firefighters worked quickly to bring the fire under control.
Units from several surrounding stations assisted on the call. No injuries were reported.
The Allegheny County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.
