Truck crash with entrapment reported on Lovedale Road in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Pa. (Tuesday, Sept. 2) — A truck pulling a dump trailer struck a tree on Lovedale Road on Tuesday afternoon, briefly trapping the driver before bystanders pulled him from the vehicle, officials said.

The crash happened shortly after 3 p.m. near Mill Hill on the Lincoln side of Lovedale. Bystanders began medical care until first responders arrived. The driver was later transported to a Pittsburgh hospital.

Lincoln Boro crews responded with an engine and attack unit, joined by Elizabeth Township firefighters. Blaine Hill firefighters provided traffic control at McKeesport Road. Police from Lincoln Borough and Elizabeth Township also assisted, along with SouthEast Regional EMS.

Earlier in the day, Lincoln and Elizabeth Township firefighters answered another crash on Lovedale Road at the Carriage Inn involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported in that incident.
