BALDWIN, Pa. (Tuesday, Sept. 2) — Baldwin Fire Rescue crews were called to multiple incidents Tuesday, including a second-alarm structure fire in Jefferson Hills and a reported house fire in Baldwin later that night.
Early in the afternoon, Engine 2, Squad 3 and the assistant chief assisted Jefferson Hills Fire-Rescue with a residential blaze that kept crews on scene for more than two hours. While multiple companies operated in Jefferson Hills, Baldwin’s Truck 106 remained on standby at Whitehall Fire Company, Station 301, covering the area and responding to two commercial fire alarms.
Late Tuesday night, Baldwin crews were dispatched for a possible residential fire in their own district. The chief, assistant, truck, Engine 2, Engine 3 and Squad 3 responded, along with mutual aid companies. Firefighters investigated but found no fire.
Mutual aid support came from Baldwin Fire Rescue Stations 106-2 and 106-3, Pleasant Hills Volunteer Fire Company, Skyview Volunteer Fire Company and West Mifflin #4 Station 296.
