CLARK, N.J. (Sept. 6, 2025) — Firefighters in Clark responded Saturday afternoon to a basement fire on Georgia Street that filled the building with heavy smoke, officials said.
Crews arrived shortly before 1 p.m. and worked to check for extension to the first floor after opening up the basement. The fire was brought under control in a short time.
A Westfield engine was requested on scene for mutual aid. Additional companies from Rahway, Linden and Cranford covered at Broadway Fire Headquarters during the incident.
