Allamuchy crews assist in tractor-trailer fire on I-80

BYRAM TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Sept. 7, 2025) — The Allamuchy Fire Department responded early Sunday with a water tender to assist in extinguishing a tractor-trailer fire on Interstate 80 eastbound, officials said.
The call came in just after 12:26 a.m. at mile marker 23.2. Allamuchy’s Tender 91-71 supplied water to Netcong Fire Department’s tower ladder.
Firefighters also assisted with overhaul, working to expose concealed areas and ensure the fire was fully out with no chance of rekindle.
