At 7:16 this morning the Yantic Fire Company was dispatched to a bus fire on Lafayette Street near Backus Hospital. Battalion 1 arrived reporting a well involved city bus underneath power lines.
Engine 32 arrived at 7:26, stretched a crosslay and had their own hydrant. Engine 31 arrived next and stretched their 100’ 1.75” line. Norwich’s Engine 3 and Truck 1 were added and assisted with overhaul. The Norwich Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
